Pizza Julienne
Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, dissolve the compressed yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add a few tablespoons of flour to the yeast mixture and stir to combine. Cover the bowl and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Stir in the salt, then gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough until it’s smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- While the dough rises, heat a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken fillet until browned and cooked through.
- Remove chicken, let cool slightly, and slice or shred.
- In the same pan, add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper and sauté until translucent.
- Return the chicken to the pan, add cream, Parmesan, and parsley. Stir and let cook until mixture thickens.
Pizza Assembly
- Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F). On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin circle for your baking sheet.
- Spread the chicken and mushroom filling over the rolled-out dough evenly. Top with shredded Mozzarella cheese.
Baking
- Bake pizza in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until edges are golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra crispy crust, consider pre-baking the pizza base for about 4-5 minutes before adding the toppings. Experiment with different herbs or add bell peppers and spinach for additional flavors and nutrients. Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
