Italian Coffee Dessert
Ingredients
Method
Classic Italian Coffee Cream
- In a mixing bowl, combine the instant coffee, milk, and condensed milk. Stir until completely blended and smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the chilled whipping cream on low speed until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip it; you want a light texture.
- Gently fold the vanilla sugar into the whipped cream using a spatula until it’s evenly incorporated.
- Carefully add the coffee mixture to the whipped cream; fold gently until the two mixtures are well combined, being mindful not to deflate the whipped cream.
- For the coffee syrup, in a small bowl, mix the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
- In serving glasses, create alternating layers of the coffee cream and coffee syrup. Start with a layer of the coffee cream, followed by the syrup, and repeat until the glasses are filled.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.
Coffee and Chocolate Delight
- In a bowl, mix the instant coffee, milk, and chocolate syrup until smooth.
- Whip the chilled cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla sugar.
- Combine the coffee and chocolate mixture with the whipped cream, folding carefully to maintain its fluffiness.
- Prepare the coffee syrup similarly to the first recipe.
- Layer the chocolate coffee cream and coffee syrup in serving glasses, making sure to alternate.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours before enjoying.
Nutty Coffee Mousse
- Combine instant coffee, almond milk, and condensed milk in a bowl, stirring until well blended.
- In a clean bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla sugar and powdered sugar.
- Add the coffee mixture to the whipped cream and fold gently.
- Prepare the coffee syrup as previously described.
- Layer the nutty coffee mousse with syrup in serving dishes, topping with crushed nuts.
- Chill for a minimum of 2 hours.
