Homemade Walnut Apple & Banana Cake
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 medium apples, peeled and diced
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch cake pan.
2. Whisk together bananas, eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla.
3. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
4. Fold dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
5. Fold in apples and walnuts.
6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with extra walnuts.
7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness.
Toast walnuts for deeper flavor.
Store covered for up to 3 days or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
