Ingredients
- 2 large fresh eggs
- 6 tablespoons water (3 tablespoons per ramekin)
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Lightly coat two 6-ounce ramekins or custard cups with nonstick cooking spray.
- Pour 3 tablespoons of water into each ramekin.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) with the water-filled ramekins inside for 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the basket and gently crack one egg into each hot ramekin. The egg whites may begin to set immediately.
- Return the basket to the air fryer and cook at 360°F (182°C) for 5–6 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
- Carefully remove the hot ramekins using tongs or oven mitts.
- Run a small silicone spatula or butter knife around the edge if needed to loosen the egg.
- Gently lift each poached egg out with a slotted spoon, allowing any excess water to drain.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then serve immediately.
Tips
- Use fresh eggs for the best shape and texture.
- For firmer yolks, add 30–60 seconds of cooking time.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
- Serve on buttered toast, avocado toast, English muffins, breakfast sandwiches, grain bowls, or fresh salads.
