Perfectly tender poached eggs made effortlessly in the air fryer! With just a few simple ingredients and about 10 minutes, you’ll have soft whites and beautifully runny yolks—ideal for toast, avocado, breakfast bowls, or salads.

Ingredients

  • 2 large fresh eggs
  • 6 tablespoons water (3 tablespoons per ramekin)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Lightly coat two 6-ounce ramekins or custard cups with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of water into each ramekin.
  3. Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) with the water-filled ramekins inside for 5 minutes.
  5. Carefully remove the basket and gently crack one egg into each hot ramekin. The egg whites may begin to set immediately.
  6. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook at 360°F (182°C) for 5–6 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
  7. Carefully remove the hot ramekins using tongs or oven mitts.
  8. Run a small silicone spatula or butter knife around the edge if needed to loosen the egg.
  9. Gently lift each poached egg out with a slotted spoon, allowing any excess water to drain.
  10. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then serve immediately.

Tips

  • Use fresh eggs for the best shape and texture.
  • For firmer yolks, add 30–60 seconds of cooking time.
  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
  • Serve on buttered toast, avocado toast, English muffins, breakfast sandwiches, grain bowls, or fresh salads.
