Method

Classic Italian Coffee Cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the instant coffee, milk, and condensed milk. Stir until completely blended and smooth.
  2. In another bowl, whip the chilled whipping cream on low speed until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip it; you want a light texture.
  3. Gently fold the vanilla sugar into the whipped cream using a spatula until it’s evenly incorporated.
  4. Carefully add the coffee mixture to the whipped cream; fold gently until the two mixtures are well combined, being mindful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  5. For the coffee syrup, in a small bowl, mix the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  6. In serving glasses, create alternating layers of the coffee cream and coffee syrup. Start with a layer of the coffee cream, followed by the syrup, and repeat until the glasses are filled.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.

  4. Add the coffee mixture to the whipped cream and fold gently.
  5. Prepare the coffee syrup as previously described.
