Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 225 g 8 oz sliced pepperoni or spicy Italian salami
  • 225 g 8 oz sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pizza sauce or marinara plus extra for dipping
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional but recommended
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or basil optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Form the crescent ring.
  • Separate crescent dough into triangles. Arrange them in a circle on the baking sheet with wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing outward, forming a sun shape.
  • Add sauce and spices.
  • Spread pizza sauce over the wide center portion of the dough. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over the sauce.
  • Layer the filling.
  • Place cheese slices over the sauce, then layer the pepperoni or salami on top.
  • Wrap the ring.
  • Fold each dough point over the filling and tuck underneath the ring to seal.
  • Finish the top.
  • Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Garnish & serve.
  • Sprinkle with parsley or basil if desired. Let rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve with warm marinara for dipping.
