  • 2 –3 lbs 900–1350 g country style pork ribs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika optional, for smoky flavor
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Sauce

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp chili flakes optional, for heat

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ribs
  • Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  • Rub salt, pepper, and smoked paprika evenly over the meat.
  • Sear the Ribs (Optional for Extra Flavor)
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear ribs 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
  • Transfer to the slow cooker.
  • Make the Sauce
  • In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili flakes.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Cook in the Slow Cooker
  • Pour sauce over the ribs, making sure they are well coated.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Cook on low for 6–7 hours (or high for 3–4 hours) until ribs are tender and pull-apart ready.
  • Finish & Serve
