Passion fruit truffle

  • Total Time: 35 minutes + cooling
  •  Yield: approximately 20 truffles
  •  Diet: Vegetarian

These passion fruit truffles combine the tropical flavor of the fruit with the sweetness of chocolate, resulting in a smooth, elegant, and easy-to-prepare dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 100g of chopped white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of concentrated passion fruit juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 300g of semi-sweet or milk chocolate for coating
  • Capsules or molds for truffles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the condensed milk, white chocolate, and butter over low heat, stirring until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and add the passion fruit juice. Mix until combined and let cool completely.
  3. Form small balls with lightly greased hands and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate for coating in the microwave or in a double boiler.
  5. Dip each ball in the melted chocolate and place it on parchment paper or molds.
  6. Let it cool until the chocolate hardens. Decorate if desired.

Notes

  • You can use natural passion fruit pulp, strained, instead of concentrated juice.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based condensed milk and dairy-free chocolate.
  • Work in small batches when dipping the truffles to prevent the chocolate from cooling too quickly.
