Homemade strawberry ice cream is a delicious, easy, and healthy option to enjoy at home. With just a few ingredients and no ice cream maker required, you can achieve a creamy texture and an authentic fresh fruit flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries (washed and without leaves)
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream (very cold)
  • 1 cup of condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional, enhances the flavor)
  • ½ cup of sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of the strawberries)

Instructions

  • Prepare the strawberries: Blend the strawberries with the sugar and lemon juice until you get a smooth puree.
  • Whip the cream: Use an electric mixer to whip the cold cream until soft peaks form.
  • Incorporate the ingredients: Mix the strawberry puree with the whipped cream in folding motions, then add the condensed milk and combine well.
  • Freeze: Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for at least 6 hours.
  • Serving: Remove from the freezer a few minutes before serving and enjoy.

Notes

  • If you want ice cream with pieces of strawberry, set aside some chopped strawberries and add them before freezing.
  • To prevent the formation of ice crystals, cover the mixture with cling film before sealing it.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for the condensed milk for a lighter version.
