A traditional Brazilian recipe with a soft dough made with guarana soda. Ideal for sweet or savory fillings.
Ingredients
- ½ kg of wheat flour
- 1Â teaspoon of salt
- 250 g of vegetable fat (butter or margarine)
- ½ can (~300 ml) guarana soda
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the vegetable fat and mix until you get a sandy texture.
- Gradually incorporate the guarana soda until a homogeneous mass is formed.
- Stretch the dough on a floured surface.
- Cut and fill with ingredients to taste.
- Fold and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg yolk.
- Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- The dough is suitable for both sweet and savory fillings.
- It can be frozen before baking.
- Use carbonated guarana for a better texture.
