Servings:Â 10
Ingredients
- 1 fully cooked spiral ham 6–8 pounds
- 2 cups cola soda
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp ground cloves optional but classic with ham
Instructions
-
Prepare the Slow Cooker
-
Place the ham flat-side down in a large slow cooker. If the ham is too big, you can trim a small piece off the top so the lid closes properly.
-
Make the Glaze
-
In a bowl, mix together:
-
cola
-
brown sugar
-
honey
-
Dijon mustard
-
ground cloves
-
Stir until the sugar begins to dissolve.
-
Add the Sauce
-
Pour the cola mixture over the ham, making sure some runs between the slices if it’s spiral-cut.
-
Slow Cook
-
Cover and cook:
-
LOW: 4–6 hours
-
HIGH: 2–3 hours
-
Occasionally spoon some of the cooking liquid over the ham for extra flavor.
-
Finish and Serve
-
Once the ham is heated through and tender, remove it carefully from the slow cooker.
-
Optional: simmer the remaining liquid in a saucepan for 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened, then drizzle it over the sliced ham.
