- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small head green cabbage about 2 lbs / 900g, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 1 15 oz / 425g can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 15 oz / 425g can tomato sauce
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar optional, balances acidity
Instructions

Brown the Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is no longer pink.
