Crispy Chicken Fritters

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 400 g about 1 lb chicken breast, finely chopped or minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small green chili optional, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro chopped

Batter

  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Frying

  • Vegetable oil enough for shallow frying

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken Mix
  • In a bowl, combine the chopped chicken, onion, garlic, chili, and herbs.
  • Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
  • Make the Batter
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg.
  • Add flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Stir until the batter becomes smooth.
  • Combine
  • Add the chicken mixture into the batter.
  • Stir until the chicken is fully coated.
  • Fry the Fritters
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the oil (about 1–2 tbsp each).
  • Cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels.
