An easy, juicy, and flavorful recipe to enjoy with family or at a special dinner. Chicken stuffed with mushrooms, garlic, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 4Â large chicken breasts, butterflied.
- 200g of fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2Â cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2Â tablespoons of butter
- 50g of cream cheese
- 150g of grated mozzarella cheese
- 1Â teaspoon of chopped fresh parsley
- Olive oil for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Toothpicks or kitchen twine to close the chicken
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- In a frying pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and are golden brown. Let cool.
- Mix the mushrooms with the cream cheese, mozzarella, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Fill the chicken breasts with the mixture and close them with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- Brown the chicken breasts in a pan with olive oil, 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Let it rest for a few minutes, remove the toothpicks and serve hot.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent it from overflowing.
- Emmental, Gouda or ricotta cheese can be used instead of the cheeses indicated.
- Freezable before or after baking, ideal for preparing in advance.
