Chicken Stuffed with Mushrooms, Garlic Butter and Cheese

An easy, juicy, and flavorful recipe to enjoy with family or at a special dinner. Chicken stuffed with mushrooms, garlic, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 large chicken breasts, butterflied.
  • 200g of fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 50g of cream cheese
  • 150g of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped fresh parsley
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks or kitchen twine to close the chicken

 


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. In a frying pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and are golden brown. Let cool.
  4. Mix the mushrooms with the cream cheese, mozzarella, parsley, salt and pepper.
  5. Fill the chicken breasts with the mixture and close them with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
  6. Brown the chicken breasts in a pan with olive oil, 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes, remove the toothpicks and serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overfill to prevent it from overflowing.
  • Emmental, Gouda or ricotta cheese can be used instead of the cheeses indicated.
  • Freezable before or after baking, ideal for preparing in advance.
