Carb-free Flatbread

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 eggs 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 oz 1 oz cheese
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp 1/3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup spelt flour Contains gluten
  • Olive oil For greasing the baking tray

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 eggs, 1/2 cup cream cheese, 1 oz of cheese, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/3 tsp baking powder.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of sesame seeds and 1/4 cup of spelt flour to the mixture. Mix everything together until it’s smooth.
  4. Drizzle a little olive oil on a baking tray and spread it out evenly.
  5. Pour the flatbread mixture onto the baking tray. Use a spatula to shape it into a flatbread form.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the flatbread turns golden brown and is cooked through.
  2. Once baked, remove from the oven, slice into your desired portions, and serve warm.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To freeze, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer bag for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or skillet. Experiment with adding herbs or spices for different flavors!
