Beef stew

A tender, juicy, and aromatic beef stew, perfect for family meals or cold days. It’s slow-cooked with spices, red wine, and tomatoes for a deep, comforting flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 4 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 900g of diced beef
  • 450g of pearl onions or shallots
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 400g of crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

 


Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in hot oil until well sealed. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the onion and pearl onions until softened. Add the garlic and cook for one more minute.
  3. Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, vinegar, and spices. Mix well.
  4. Add the meat back in, add the broth, and season. Cook in a pressure cooker for 35 minutes.
  5. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Open, adjust seasoning, remove bay leaf, and serve hot with parsley.
