Banana pudding: easy and delicious with caramel sauce

This banana pudding is an easy-to-make dessert, perfect for any occasion, and is served with a delicious caramel sauce to enhance its flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (for the caramel sauce)
  • 1/4 cup of water (for the caramel sauce)

 


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and add the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into molds and let cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  4. To make the caramel sauce, combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and turns a golden color.
  5. Remove from heat and add the cream, mixing well.
  6. Serve the pudding with the caramel sauce on top.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can add cinnamon to the pudding.
