Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders

This Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders are warm, melty, and loaded with sweet-and-savory flavor in every bite. Soft rolls are stuffed with ham and gooey cheese, then brushed with a buttery glaze and baked until perfectly golden — the ultimate easy party snack or weeknight dinner everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 12 soft slider rolls Hawaiian-style or dinner rolls
  • 12 slices deli ham about 10–12 oz / 280–340 g
  • 8 slices mild melting cheese Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise optional, for spreading
  • Butter glaze
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon poppy seeds optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Lightly grease or line a small baking dish.
  • Slice the rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected).
  • Place the bottom layer in the baking dish.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the rolls if using.
  • Layer the ham evenly over the bottom rolls.
  • Add the cheese slices on top of the ham.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, mustard, honey, onion powder, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the butter glaze generously over the tops of the sliders.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 12 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake another 5–8 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  • Let rest for 2 minutes, then slice and serve.
