Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen, about 8×8 inches
- 6 slices bacon thin-cut works best
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 egg for egg wash
- 1 tsp water for egg wash
Instructions

Preheat & Prepare

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Puff Pastry

Roll out the puff pastry slightly to remove folds.

Cut the pastry into 12 equal strips (about 1 inch wide).

Layer the Ingredients

Lay half a slice of bacon on each strip.

Sprinkle with cheddar cheese, a pinch of garlic powder, and black pepper.

Twist the Pastry

Hold each end of a strip and twist 2–3 times so the bacon and cheese spiral along the pastry.

Place twists on the prepared baking sheet.

Egg Wash

Beat 1 egg with 1 tsp water.

Brush each twist lightly with the egg wash for a golden finish.

Bake

Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
