Ingredients (1–2 servings)

1 medium apple (organic preferred)

1–2 small fresh rosemary sprigs
(or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary) -
2 cups (500 ml) water

Optional:

1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Small cinnamon stick (for extra flavor)

Instructions

Wash & slice the apple
Slice thinly. You can leave the peel on (it contains antioxidants). -
Boil the water
Add water to a small pot and bring to a gentle boil. -
Add ingredients
Add apple slices and rosemary (and cinnamon if using). -
Simmer
Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes. -
Steep
Turn off heat, cover, and let steep another 5–10 minutes. -
Strain & serve
Strain into a cup. Add honey or lemon if desired.
Drink warm. It can also be chilled and served over ice.
