Preparation
-
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and brush it with 10 g of melted butter.
-
Arrange the sliced apples in an even layer in the air fryer basket, then sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar.
Cooking the apples
-
Air fry the apples at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes until they are slightly softened.
Batter preparation
-
While the apples are cooking, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until frothy.
-
Add 150 g of sugar to the eggs and whisk until the mixture is light and creamy.
-
Mix in the remaining 100 g of melted butter.
-
Fold in the flour until no dry spots remain.
-
Add 1 tsp of cinnamon and the baking powder, mixing until smooth.
Final assembly and cooking
-
Once the apples are done, pour the batter evenly over the apples to fully cover them.
-
Return the basket to the air fryer and bake at 160°C (320°F) for about 25 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
Allow it to cool slightly, then invert onto a board, remove the parchment, and dust with icing sugar before slicing.
Notes
Enjoy warm, served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for a couple of days.
