No-Bake Banana Oat and Nut Bars

Dry Ingredients
  • 80 g oat flakes Use rolled oats for the best texture.
  • 100 g raisins Feel free to substitute with other dried fruits.
  • 80 g walnuts, chopped Can substitute with other nuts like almonds or pecans.
  • 100 g dried apricots, chopped Adds a fruity flavor to the bars.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 medium ripe banana, mashed Must be well mashed for even mixing.
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped Can use chocolate chips as an alternative.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oat flakes, raisins, walnuts, and dried apricots.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash the banana until smooth and mix it into the oat mixture until well combined.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it over the mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm to the touch.
  7. Cut into bars and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for maximum freshness. For variations, feel free to mix in your favorite nuts or seeds. Swap chocolate for cocoa nibs to reduce sugar content.
