Chocolate Vanilla Cream Cheese Swirl Loaf Cake
Ingredients
Vanilla Batter
180g all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
115g unsalted butter, softened
150g granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
120ml whole milk
Chocolate Batter
Half of the vanilla batter
20g unsweetened cocoa powder
20ml milk
Cream Cheese Filling
225g cream cheese
60g sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
2. Prepare the vanilla batter by mixing the dry ingredients separately, then creaming butter and sugar before adding eggs, vanilla, milk, and flour mixture.
3. Divide the vanilla batter in half.
4. Mix cocoa powder and milk into one half to make the chocolate batter.
5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Layer vanilla batter, cream cheese filling, chocolate batter, remaining cream cheese filling, and remaining vanilla batter.
7. Swirl gently with a knife.
8. Bake for 55–65 minutes until set.
9. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for the smoothest batter.
Do not over-swirl to maintain beautiful marbling.
Store refrigerated for up to 5 days.
