This natural, light and easy-to-prepare smoothie combines carrot, tomato and lemon to help reduce inflammation and improve digestion.
Ingredients
- 1 peeled and chopped carrot
- 1 ripe tomato, seeded and chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions
- Wash the carrot and tomato thoroughly. Peel and chop both ingredients.
- Squeeze the juice of one lemon and add it to the blender along with the carrot and tomato.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and blend until you get a smooth mixture.
- If you want it lighter, strain the mixture or add more water to taste.
- Serve it fresh, preferably on an empty stomach.
Notes
- You can substitute the carrot with cucumber or add ginger to enhance the digestive effect.
- For a naturally sweet touch, add a slice of pineapple or green apple.
- This recipe doesn’t need to be sweetened, but you can use honey if you prefer.
