Method
Preparation
-
Rinse the walnuts under cold water and pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel. Chop them finely or pulse them in a food processor until roughly crushed.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, sesame seeds, ground cinnamon, and honey. Stir well until the mixture becomes sticky and evenly coated.
-
Wash the apples thoroughly. Slice off the tops and carefully hollow out the center using a spoon or melon baller, making space for the filling while leaving the bottom intact.
Cooking
-
Place the hollowed apples into the air fryer basket. Spoon the walnut mixture into each apple, packing it gently so the filling stays in place. If desired, drizzle a little extra honey on top.
-
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F). Cook the stuffed apples for 13 minutes until they begin to soften and the filling becomes fragrant.
-
Score the top of the Camembert wheel with a knife to help it melt evenly. Place it in the air fryer and drizzle lightly with honey if desired. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes until the cheese becomes soft and creamy.
Serving
-
Remove the apples from the air fryer and spoon a generous portion of the melted Camembert over each stuffed apple. Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
