Ingredients
Patties
- 1 lb 450g ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Gravy & Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 8 oz 225g mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cold water

Make the Steak Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Mix gently and shape into 4 oval patties.

Brown the Patties (Optional but Recommended)

Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Sear patties for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly browned.

Transfer patties to the slow cooker.

Add Onions & Mushrooms

Scatter sliced onions and mushrooms over the patties.

Prepare the Gravy

In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and Dijon mustard.

Pour the mixture over the patties.

Slow Cook

Cover and cook:

LOW: 6–8 hours

HIGH: 3–4 hours

Thicken the Gravy

Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry.
