Ingredients
Dried Fruits
Method
Preparation
-
Wash the dried fruits thoroughly and soak them in cold water for 15-20 minutes.
-
While the fruits are soaking, chop the walnuts and lightly roast the almonds in a pan.
-
Fry the sesame seeds in a small pan until they pop, keeping some aside for decoration.
-
Cut the softened dried apricots into pieces and mix them with the cranberries, raisins, and chopped walnuts.
-
Remove the seeds from the dates and chop the plums; add these to the fruit mixture.
Blending and Shaping
-
Blend the soaked dates and plums until smooth, then fold this blend into the fruit mixture.
-
Shape the mixture into a cylinder and roll it in the reserved sesame seeds.
Freezing and Serving
-
Freeze for about 2 hours to set firmly.
-
Once frozen, cut the dessert into pieces and serve them in small paper molds.
Notes
You can customize your dessert by adding or substituting other dried fruits or nuts according to your preference. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week to keep them fresh. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, feel free to reduce the soaking time for the dried fruits to soften them less. For added texture, you can sprinkle some chopped nuts or seeds on top before freezing. Always keep an eye on the frying sesame seeds; they can burn quickly!
