Garlic Butter Pizza Cupcakes

Ingredients

  Dough and Toppings

  • 1 tube (8 count) refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For a cheesy twist, mix some cheddar cheese with the mozzarella.
  • 1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices
  • Chopped fresh parsley or oregano for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard 12-cup muffin tin thoroughly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese to create a flavorful garlic butter.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Flatten each piece into a circle and gently press them into the muffin tin cups, pushing the dough up the sides to create small cups.
  4. Brush a little garlic butter mixture inside each dough cup.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce into the bottom of each cup.
  6. Fill the cups generously with shredded mozzarella cheese and top them off with mini pepperoni slices.
  7. Brush the top edges of the dough with the remaining garlic butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  2. Allow the pizza cupcakes to cool in the pan for 3 to 5 minutes before carefully removing them.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley or oregano before serving.

Notes

These cupcakes are perfect for game day, a party, or a cozy family movie night. Serve with a side of extra pizza sauce for dipping, or pair with a fresh salad for a complete meal. Leftover pizza cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for crispy freshness. Make sure to grease the muffin tin well to prevent sticking.
