In a bowl, combine the warm milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and yeast. Let this mixture sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Add the eggs, salt, and 120 grams of soft butter to the bowl. Mix everything well until fully combined.

Gradually stir in the flour, mixing until a dough begins to form.

Knead the dough for a few minutes until it’s smooth. Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Baking

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

After the dough has rested, add 120 grams of sugar and the remaining 50 grams of soft butter. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Grease a baking pan with butter. Transfer the dough to the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.

Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan.

While the cake cools, whip the cream in a separate bowl until it becomes light and fluffy.

Serve slices of the cake with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
Notes
Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Feel free to add some vanilla extract to the whipped cream for a little extra flavor. For added texture, consider folding in some chocolate chips or nuts into the batter before baking.
