  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  •  cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheddar blend
  • 1 bag 750 g / 26 oz frozen French fries
  • ½ cup diced onion optional
  • ¼ cup diced pickles optional, for true cheeseburger flavor
  • Cooking spray or 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
  • Cook the beef:

  • Season & flavor:
  • Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, and mustard. Mix well, then remove from heat.
  • Bake the fries:
  • Spread frozen French fries evenly in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15–20 minutes until they begin to crisp.
  • Assemble:
  • Remove fries from the oven. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the fries. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and add pickles if using.
  • Finish baking:
  • Return to the oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot:
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Optional toppings: extra ketchup, burger sauce, or chopped lettuce on top.
