Ingredients
- 1 lb 450 g ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheddar blend
- 1 bag 750 g / 26 oz frozen French fries
- ½ cup diced onion optional
- ¼ cup diced pickles optional, for true cheeseburger flavor
- Cooking spray or 1 tbsp oil

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.

Cook the beef:

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion (if using). Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.

Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, and mustard. Mix well, then remove from heat.

Bake the fries:

Spread frozen French fries evenly in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15–20 minutes until they begin to crisp.

Remove fries from the oven. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the fries. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and add pickles if using.
