Preheat Oven

Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.

Prepare the Crust

Press pie crust into the dish and trim edges.

Pre-bake for 8 minutes, then remove and set aside.

(Skip pre-bake if using crushed chips.)

Cook the Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.

Drain excess fat.

Add onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.

Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

Add salsa, corn, and black beans if using.

Remove from heat.

Assemble the Pie

Spread beef mixture evenly into the crust.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.

Add Egg Mixture

In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

Pour gently over the cheese layer.

Bake

Bake for 25–30 minutes, until center is set and top is golden.

If edges brown too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
