Preheat & Prepare

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.

Make the Base

In a bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, and egg.

Mix until a thick dough forms.

Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.

Prepare the Creamy Layer

Beat the cream cheese until smooth.

Add eggs and vanilla; mix until fully combined.

Slowly mix in melted butter.

Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy.

Assemble

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the base.

Spread gently to cover evenly.

Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes.

The center should still be slightly soft and jiggly — do not overbake.

Cool & Slice

Allow bars to cool completely before cutting.

Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
