Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef – lean or regular
  • 1 cup thick marinara or pizza sauce – divided
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough about 13–14 ounces

Instructions

  • Step 1 – Preheat Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2 – Cook the Beef
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Stir in the Italian seasoning and ½ cup of the marinara sauce. Let cool slightly.
  • Step 3 – Roll the Dough
  • Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Gently stretch or roll it into a large rectangle, keeping thickness even.
  • Step 4 – Add Filling
  • Spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about a ½-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly on top.
  • Step 5 – Roll & Slice
  • Starting from the long side, roll the dough up tightly into a log shape. Pinch the seam to seal. Slice into 1½-inch rounds.
  • Step 6 – Bake
  • Place the rolls cut-side up in the prepared pan. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Step 7 – Serve
  • Warm the remaining marinara sauce and serve on the side for dipping.
