Ingredients
For the Cookies
- 2 ½ cups 315g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup 170g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp sour cream
For the Butter Glaze
- ¼ cup 60g unsalted butter
- ½ cup 100g granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Chill the Dough (Optional but Helpful)
