Bacon Puff Pastry Twists

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen, about 8×8 inches
  • 6 slices bacon thin-cut works best
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tsp water for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare Puff Pastry
  • Roll out the puff pastry slightly to remove folds.
  • Cut the pastry into 12 equal strips (about 1 inch wide).
  • Layer the Ingredients
  • Lay half a slice of bacon on each strip.
  • Sprinkle with cheddar cheese, a pinch of garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Twist the Pastry
  • Hold each end of a strip and twist 2–3 times so the bacon and cheese spiral along the pastry.
  • Place twists on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Egg Wash
  • Beat 1 egg with 1 tsp water.
  • Brush each twist lightly with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake
  • Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  • Cool & Serve
  • Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy warm as a snack, appetizer, or party treat!
